AEG has announced details of the inaugural Amgen Tour of California Women’s International Time Trial Challenge presented by Specialized and SRAM, which will take place in Solvang during Stage 6 of the 2011 Amgen Tour of California on Friday, May 20. Using the same course as the Stage 6 men’s individual time trial in Solvang, the women’s event will be a 12-person invitation, showcasing some of the best women athletes in the world racing for a $10,000 prize pool.
Kick some ass ladies!
Anyone know what the men’s payout is?
Would rather see a Women’s road race. Women’s ITT is sooooo boring. There are like 3 girls who are any good.
…@d…first off, it’s an invitational, so you know they’ll be inviting 12 of the best women in the business, ya ???…
…secondly, itt’s, men’s or women’s are ‘generally’ boring in comparison to a tactical roadrace…note: i said in comparison…
…there are those that could be considered ‘exciting’ by virtue of the fact that tension is generated because the few seconds between two riders could decide a race…
…in ‘tours de france’ in the past there have been a few good battles over the years, ulrich & armstrong come to mind & the alpe d’huez mountaintop finish itt was kinda cool…
Let it go dummy!
The final TT in the ’09 Giro was quite memorable— recall Menchov hitting the deck in the last 2K with only 30 seconds in hand, and jumping up and winning the whole thing? That was pretty cool.
You actually make it seem so easy along with your presentation but I to find this matter to be actually something which I think I might never understand. It seems too complex and very large for me. I am taking a look ahead in your next put up, I?¦ll attempt to get the hold of it!
