Thursday’s Poem – Camo Cans

Camo Cans

We met at one bar
and then rode to another.

The third stop was my front yard
to shotgun beers.
I bought an 18 pack of Coors Light
in the camouflage can
special
just for the occasion.

Seeing as
the next morning
I came back to seventeen empties
I’d say they were a hit.

Or somehow
at least
the camo
made up
for the fact
that we were
drinking
Coors Light.

About big jonny

The man, the legend. The guy who started it all back in the Year of Our Lord Beer, 2000, with a couple of pages worth of idiotic ranting hardcoded on some random porn site that would host anything you uploaded, a book called HTML for Dummies (which was completely appropriate), a bad attitude (which hasn’t much changed), and a Dell desktop running Win95 with 64 mgs of ram and a six gig hard drive. Those were the days. Then he went to law school. Go figure. Flagstaff, Arizona, USA

  1. I guess the camo works as you didn’t mention the 18th empty and I know there wasn’t any leftover.

  2. Been there, done that. I’ve been tricked by the camo myself, lots. I wish they’d pack a little more gunpowder around hunting season – if ya know what I mean. I’ve found that if you alternate in sips of yukon jack the effects are mind boggling. I wish they’d come out with a coors light ICE and package it into a monster energy decoy can. ya know – fer werk and such.
