Eight the hard way.

I sent my man Dan an email the other day regarding his recent world record attempt. His reply is short and to the point.

From: Dan McGehee
Thank you, Jonny.
That was all I have. The single hardest effort I have ever produced on a bike. I have no excuses for not breaking the record. I know how I can go faster, but I’m not sure that I could ever go any harder than I did on Sat.

About big jonny

The man, the legend. The guy who started it all back in the Year of Our Lord Beer, 2000, with a couple of pages worth of idiotic ranting hardcoded on some random porn site that would host anything you uploaded, a book called HTML for Dummies (which was completely appropriate), a bad attitude (which hasn’t much changed), and a Dell desktop running Win95 with 64 mgs of ram and a six gig hard drive. Those were the days. Then he went to law school. Go figure. Flagstaff, Arizona, USA

  1. …i know you’re disappointed, mr mcgehee but what you just said is an awesome & beautiful thing…

…the essence of a man striving for what he knows he can achieve…

…i’d bet money on you making it next time…

  2. “40”- Good to see you at least managed to avoid the cactus you mentioned. Sounds like you’ve become a true Western mountain bike rider over in Montuky, and would likely grind me into the dust if you came over to Orygun for the Creampuff. Which I will not be racing in 2009.
