Paddy White's Not Dead Yet |

Paddy White is getting on, just hit the big Four Oh. Yep.
40. As in 40oz. But he's far from dead. He decided to take
age by the horns and enter one more time in each event he's ever raced.
At least anything with two wheels underneath him. And it's a long
list.
Yeah, I thought it was crazy too.
In his own words:
"The plan was simple: Compete in at least 1 race of every
two wheeled event I had ever competed in previously in life. It had
been a quite a few years since I had participated in some forms of competition,
and almost 4 years since my last competition which was on a motorcycle.
A cervical fusion that involved a plate and some screws, and the broken
leg had taken the last puffs of wind out of my sails as a competitor.
When I got back on my feet again, I had simply gone from a RACER to
a RIDER. Yeah I rode my mountain bikes around as much as I ever rode
bicycles, but I no longer “trained”. There were no more intervals, or
recovery rides. There were just fun rides. Now I wanted to quit racing
on MY terms. Not by some injury, or by the clock turning 40. I wanted
to say when it was time to quit racing when I was good and ready."
And who can find fault in that? Read on and enjoy:
