The Colorado trail is, without a doubt, one of the most amazing linkups of singletrack in the mountains you will ever experience. The section from Silverton to Durango holds a special place in my heart. Nearly 2 decades ago, it introduced this punk kid from New York to what REAL mountains were. It got me hooked, and I have chased that big mountain high ever since.
Now I’m not one for bikepack racing...I have had my experience with that and didn’t care too much for it. But the footage and commentary in this video isn’t really focused on racing. It shows often unseen landscapes deep in the backcountry and definitely stirs up some feelings. Have a watch, it’s a half hour well spent.
