A few years ago, Scandinavian Jesus, Charlie the Bikemonger and I went to Iceland for a long ride. Jesus did some fine write-ups of the trip and you can find them HERE, HERE and HERE. I took along a little point and shoot 35mm film camera on the ride and recently I revisited the photos. I didn’t care much for them when I first got back so I just put them in a stack with all the other mediocre photos. But looking back at them now, they evoke so many great memories. I feel these images, in all their grainy imperfection, really capture the vast emptiness of the highlands and some of the dramatic beauty of the Icelandic landscape. Instead of keeping them tucked away on a hard drive forever, I decided to dump them all here to share with you. Cheers!
Er wow! Speechless and a tad jealous!
Damn, lad. Yes it was a mistake to shelve those pics. Quite nicely captured the feel of the bleak and the big skies.

One of my life’s highlights was solo slog around Iceland on my Coconino singlespeed. That and drinking like a fish throughout the countyside.
