I rode up the Flagstaff Climb at the finish of yesterday’s stage of US Pro Cycling Challenge outside of Boulder. I was joined by some quality beer (Renegade Ryeteous IPA), and some friends from back in my AZ days of racing. By the time the gruppetto approached, an Excergy rider (who I am still not sure who he is) was rad enough to take my beer hand off. The day was killer, and my buddy Crosby summed the day up perfectly by saying, “Lance who?”

Lance who is right. I live here in CO and the vibe was absolutely unbelievable. The U.S. has some great young talent and Colorado showed its true colors once again this year. And Boulder? Holy shit what a crowd/party!
Sweet – looks like it was mayhem up at Flagastaff – as it should be. Me and a buddy rode down from Berthoud to Lyons and caught the points sprint just in front of Oscars. Holy crap those guys can move.
I hate Lance. Glad his lying ass is getting his just deserts. However, he did have a lot to do with that race getting started. Hopefully days like yesterday and more beer handouts will continue without him for the new generation.
