…but this stuff is a different kettle of fish & i guarantee you, none of those cats ever did that superman thingy where the rider is flying through the air behind his bike, not touching it until he reaches out & pulls himself back up to & on before descending to the ground…
…i have massive respect for the old moto-boys but i gotta give the new kids total props for continuing to raise the bar…

I don’t know how you guys (and gals) at DC do it. Do you have minions, not unlike Gru from Despicable Me, in the basement scouring the interwebs for the next badass video? That was unreal. Blew my mind at 6:10 in the morning…now when I catch 3 inches of air on my ride tonight I’ll feel like an even bigger pussy.

Hurben, you’re sounding like an old guy. Guys like Pastrana, Carmichael, Bubba Stewart , etc dominated racing to the point that it got boring. So sort of like bmx racing, the next progression is jumping your bike really high and far for fun.
Not saying those older generation couldn’t have done it as well, just technology hadn’t progressed fast enough to allow them to.
Andreu wasn’t just throwing the tricks! He was doing what it took to make it look right, go fucking big as fuck and have time to dance in that air time. That shit was so fluid- he fucking owned it with his crazy spirit eagle style.
