Roubaix cometh

This photo was taken the day prior to last year’s edition of Paris-Roubaix.

On the building by the right, we can read “the northern hell leads to paradise”.

Next year, a new “vélodrome” will stand in Roubaix. Maybe Vansummeren was the last one crossing the finish line on that historic track.

About big jonny

The man, the legend. The guy who started it all back in the Year of Our Lord Beer, 2000, with a couple of pages worth of idiotic ranting hardcoded on some random porn site that would host anything you uploaded, a book called HTML for Dummies (which was completely appropriate), a bad attitude (which hasn’t much changed), and a Dell desktop running Win95 with 64 mgs of ram and a six gig hard drive. Those were the days. Then he went to law school. Go figure. Flagstaff, Arizona, USA

  2. 8:45 departure (9:45 Munich time…) I’ll be in my shorts workin on my 2nd cup of coffee. Hopefully I can get to a friends on the train before the end.

    DFL not DNF.

  3. Wished I could have watched live coverage on tv with Ligget and Sherwin commentating. Reading live feed is exciting because of the event, but otherwise kinda blah.
