This is either where Ben S. lives or is visiting. Balikpapan, Borneo. Either way, my life sucks compared to his.

In other news, I seriously need to look into moving closer to water.

That was sweet! A little bit of everything in the terrain department, lots of smiles from the locals, & cold beer @ the finish!
More of this please, & less of the uber-pretentious – homo racer bullshit. (I’m not saying that “R” word anymore)
Congrats to anyone who made it to the end of this video, you officially have way too much free time on your hands. It had all of the makings of my grandparents vacation videos:
Tropical location….check
Extremely shitty music….check
People riding bikes really slowly….check
10x longer than it needed to be….check
But mainly I’m just hatin because it’s 40 degrees and raining where I live.
…that was 13:37 of thoroughly enjoyable ‘little bit of everything’ on a bike ride…
…i’d like to see that route ‘gps – google mapped’ just to follow that shit back n’ forth through the alleys…
…bored ???…nope, borneo…
Jesus and our Lord likes this. He says He’ll forgive any one for sweating their ass off on a bike on a Sunday. Maybe they need to open this up to like some Red Bull Energy Drink Xtreme course. To make it more extreme, they could strap some of those 3 year-old-chain(not bike chain) smokers that Indonesia is famous for onto their handle bars and zip around and white-knuckle speeds.
Oh, by the way, the Lord just told me that he took time from His busy schedule to watch the whole video. Good Job, Benny Boy.
Sound track was pretty goood. Granny gear in the third world… that’s pain bro.
Hey thanks for posting the vid. Here is the track: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/133628996
I do live in Balikpapan though I’m an AZ native. I split my time living there between Tucson and Flag. I still manage to get to Flag for some riding every summer.
Here’s a taste of some more riding in the neighborhood: http://vimeo.com/32185178 –It’s much shorter.(3min)
Late
…redpie…thanks, amigo…i was the one asking to see that & it’s kinda fucking awesome to follow the ‘garmin version’ of your route…
…i’m not always ‘into’ the latest tech stuff but i gotta admit, it never fails to impress me when i see it in the right context…
…keep doin’ & diggin’ it, bud…
