Good MTB Events down in the AZ

Looks like there are two high end events which are set to take place next year down in that gem of a state they call Arizona.  First, Dejay puts on his annual “come ride your bike, drink beer, see all your friends, and live the good life” event he calls SSAZ.  Mark your calender for February 5, 2011, the fun starts at 9 a.m. down in Tucson.   Here’s the description,

Bikes, Bros, Broets, Brews, Free Camping, Bands.. You know the drill, 40+ miles of trail smiles.  I know it all sounds like a shit of a time, but you may have just have a great time riding your bike.

I’ve had the pleasure of taking part in this event for three years, and let me tell you, it will not disappoint.  I wonder if the crew from Oskar Blues will show up with enough beer to sink a ship.

January 15, 2001 will see the Arizona Trail Jamboree going down, starting at 9 am at Pistol Hill.  Looks like a 35 buck donation the Arizona Trail Association will get you 35 miles of some ripping singletrack, and some free beer and schwag at the end.  If that doesn’t sound like a good time, I don’t know what does.  There ya have it, mark these two events on your calender, and do your best to get down to Arizona for some good times, great people, and some top notch riding.
