I am a writer and a photographer. I never killed a man in Reno, but I once rode a bike through a casino in Vegas. Bikes are cool, huevos rancheros are for breakfast, whiskey is for dinner. Denver, Colorado, USA
Please make one that says: My other bike is also not a Surly.
hahaha…even though I dig Surly bikes, that’s pretty funny.
What’s wrong with Surly?
a lot of people dig them
but they are clunkers
pacer
vega
pinto
when a sports car is not a sports car
or when cool is not cool
but has a cool paint job
Mr Electrician, given your highly advertised “patriotic” tendencies, I find it odd that you would even ask what is wrong with a bicycle frame made in Taiwan. Surely you have a million answers for that question that have nothing to do with the quality of the ride.
seriously, can you make them in XL? We are not all skinny white people.
XL is not a problem. What color do you want? I’m all out of orange at the moment, but I can get red and yellow pretty easily.
I got me a couple Surlys and dig em. No, they ain’t gonna win nothin, but neither am I. If you’re gonna pull the America card…well, you might as well not own a drivetrain to go with your American frame.
I’m on board with Loren on that one. You can’t pedal two feet without tripping over a component made overseas. And everything made in the U.S. is generally more expensive.
I have no grudge with Surly. I just thought Littlejar’s comment was funny.
Barry (Soetoro, is it?) is an obvious troll. I doubt he would even know what to do with a bicycle.
Loren, my Crosscheck is a fixed gear. If I tried hard enough I could probably come up with enough all-American parts to justify the country of origin requirements for a new car. Hell, I could put the parts on my American-made Schwinn Traveler frame. It’s thirty years old and I bought it used, but oh well. Like I said, Barry (Hussein?) is a straight up troll. If he walked the walk like hen talks the talk he’d put up some pictures of HIS all-American fleet.
Jellyjar’s a hard boy to figure. Didn’t he put up a phone number awhile back? It wasn’t one a them 1-900 dealies, was it? Might give him a call and see what fer axe he’s a-grindin’.
Sweet! Red would be the one for me.
Cool. If you go to Etsy and order one, just make a note in the order that you want an XL and I’ll get one out to you ASAP.
I liked LJ’s comment. I love me some surly’s. I have been trying for 4 years now to convince my girly to own a surly….longhaul. But when I worked in a shop, Surly’s seem to be the bike of choice for the hipsters/scencters that don’t want to ride a fixie cuz they are too trendy.
