Today’s study break offering

I like the Phoenix song. And, I like the brat pack movies. So it follows that I like the mashup, right? Go figure. One plus one still equals two.

I copped the latest from Phoenix back in the beginning of the week, and have had it on constant rotation since (See also wiki, myspace, pitchfork). My three year old refers to it as “booty shaking music.” After a long day of beating case books over my head yesterday, I went home and danced my ass off to that album. You want an attitude adjustment? Let yourself go with a three year old and some “booty shaking music” in the living room. It’s like I’m back in the 80’s without a care in the world.

And that’s good enough for me.

  1. Dancin’ with your three-year-old is fun. Mine just turned 11 and she has been rolling her eyes at me for a few years now.

    I love her now and can’t wait for her future, but I sometimes wish I could go back and dance with my three-year-old.

I can’t get mine past Black Sabbath’s, ‘Iron Man’, or AC DC’s, ‘Back In Black’ which he headbangs his way round the living room to, same principal though…..He’s a bit of a mover and a shaker, whereas Daddy just dances, ‘like a doofuss’…..3 years old, going on seventeen….Will be taking him to his first concert if Skynyrd come round our way on this tour…..
