Jonny… you need to walk away from the Eagles.

Trust me. You don’t need to root for a team with this guy as QB.

“No one was more surprised than McNabb that it ended so soon — 3 hours, 46 minutes after the opening kickoff. The 10th-year quarterback thought it would keep going until someone scored, just like a playoff game.

Wrong.

”I didn’t know that,” McNabb said. ”I’ve never been part of a tie. I never even knew it was in the rule book. I was looking forward to getting the opportunity to get out there and try to drive to win the game.”

  1. I’m no football scientist, but I think if someone were paying me $10M a year to play a game I’d read just enough of the rulebook to figure out how that game ends.

  2. I was a lifelong Bills fan until the Panthers came to town. Tragic disappointment and football go hand-in-hand for me. At 8-2, they’re just toying with my optimism.

  3. Everybody’s so hung up on Donovan’s not knowing how a tie works in the NFL (meanwhile alot of the people barking about it are lying and didn’t know any better than McNabb how it works), but that is forgetting about the real problem. The PLAY CALLING IS AWFUL! Andy Reid, it’s time to hit the road. Too much pass, then it’s too little, too late when they try to run. The game plan is tired, everybody in the NFL has the offense figured out. Look how many shit qb’s have won the Super Bowl – McNabb can’t carry the team, but don’t believe the hype – it’s not simply McNabb’s fault that we haven’t won a SB. He does deserve most of the discredit on that Cinci game though.
