The end of porn as we know it

And ya’ll thought I was kidding.

After two decades of phenomenal growth in profits, the porn industry is facing some major challenges as its X-rated DVDs and Internet content lose out to free videos and photos distributed by amateurs on the Web.

Sales and rentals of adult DVDs fell 30 percent in the last two years and sales of Internet-based porn, while still growing, have started to plateau, according to Adult Video News, an industry trade publication…

“It doesn’t matter what the industry does — it’s screwed in terms of profitability,” says Luke Ford, an industry gossip columnist, “There is a ton of free stuff floating around and the amateur stuff — people filming themselves in their bedrooms and posting it online — is not going to go away. It will just keep growing.”

About big jonny

The man, the legend. The guy who started it all back in the Year of Our Lord Beer, 2000, with a couple of pages worth of idiotic ranting hardcoded on some random porn site that would host anything you uploaded, a book called HTML for Dummies (which was completely appropriate), a bad attitude (which hasn’t much changed), and a Dell desktop running Win95 with 64 mgs of ram and a six gig hard drive. Those were the days. Then he went to law school. Go figure. Flagstaff, Arizona, USA

  1. Sad but true, however – the whole concept of a “Convenience Store” is to retrieve those most essential every day items from one source, and then get on with the day.

Drunk Cyclist used to be convenient, now it’s another “extra” step in getting the daily internet essencials.

Johnny, weren’t you making and link $$? Get the click through cash my friend and we will see just how many fine naked ladies adorn your site once more.

    Peace
