Cyclist McCall dies in accident

One of Northern Ireland’s best known cyclists, Davy McCall, has been killed in a road crash outside Crumlin.

The 46-year-old, a member of the Maryland Wheelers club in Lisburn, was involved in a collision with a car on at Nutts Corner on Tuesday night.

McCall, who took part in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, had been competing in an inter-league race when the accident happened.
