More of the same.

Cute girl. Died at 32 because she chose to ride a fuking bike. I don’t know about all ya’ll, but that makes me feel like a cheat at 34… and proceating, and otherwise not doing shit. WTF? Colorado… at once, too cool for school on the “pro” bike, and then peeps get slammed just for riding because it’s all just “More of the same”. I find it goddamned hilarious that “alchohol(sp?) may have been involved at the incident which occured at 5:30am.

What do we gotta do to pull heads out of spoiled, American asses? Fucking lame all around.

Fuck all…

I went to CO to ride once. I went for the altitude and to so called roadie vibe. My first ride was from Boulder to Lyons as a warm up on a Sunday morning. I have never been so scared on th road in my life. the drivers there are the worst jusr swaying into the bike lane all the time. most of them were minivans on the way to church with yellow ribbon stickers BTW. Back in Boulder many honks at corners and when we took the sidewalk to the coffee joint we got yelled at. I was a gurest of a local group ride here etc…good thing his mountain bikes fit me because that is all I rode after that. never went back.

Shit like this really pushes me to the edge.
Daniel Price of Fort Collins, Co was fucking released while the investigation is continuing!?
    WTF!?

You know? If I was a fucking redneck, I’d have a shitty bike in the back of my pickup so when I mowed down some person while loaded on my way home, I’d just toss the bike out on the road and then start saying shit like “Oh it was an accident” and of course my all time favorite “God works in mysterious ways.”

Naturally, I’d get all my born again bible thumping friends to make comments to the press that I was alway such a nice guy, just think of my family . . . because all the anger in the world isn’t gonna change what God allow happen.
That always helps get these kind of asshats off the hook.

In the end, the worst that would probably happen to me is my license would get suspended for a couple years, but I would still be able to drive with a restricted drivers permit.

Yup, that’s how I’d play it ’cause it’s not like any legal authority really gives a fuck about the lives of someone on a bike anyway.

    Sorry for the rant . . . .

I wonder if this was one of the questions for the Fort Collins / Larimer County police qualifying test…

You pull over a guy who is 20 years old, drunk, and just ran over two cyclists killing one of them. What do you do?

    a) Arrest the guy and charge him with vehicular manslaughter
    b) Arrest the guy and charge him with drunk driving
    c) Arrest the guy and charge him with under-age drinking
    d) Arrest the guy and charge him with vehicular manslaughter, drunk driving, and under-age drinking
    e) Release him

I guess we know the answer to that question. I would not be surprised to see Sheriff Alderden’s next blog on how you shouldn’t be cycling when there are drunk drivers around. Living in Colorado, this makes me sick.

I live in Ft. Collins . . . You know, the town that the sheriff put a target on every cyclists back by railing against them in the press?

I can’t believe that at 5:20 AM this kid was hammered enough to kill a cyclist. There really is no justice that will suffice for this. He will be wrecked the rest of his life by this event, but at least he’ll have his life.

Thoughts and condolences to the Allen family. Senseless tragedy like this should never be something that a family has to endure.

As always, stay where you are and continue to get hammered. leave the car alone.

rebecca allen was an awesome person and this guy made a string of stupid decisions and ended that. jen was luckier. she was hit too but released from the hospital later on tuesday. this was all a big suprise to me but didn’t set in until i visited my good friend and rebecca’s husband, greg last night. he’s a strong strong dude but is going to need a lot of help from all of us for a long time. if you live in fc and can make it, the funeral for rebecca is friday at 1:00 pm at the southern end of the CSU oval and there is a reception afterwards at the rio. greg said bikes and flip flops so that’s what he is going to get - lots of ‘em i hope. he told me it was nice to see someone who wasn’t crying last night so let’s surround him with support. he needs it and would be the first to offer it had the situation been the other way around. i hope you can make it tomorrow. it would mean a lot to everyone involved.

We always hear about how the killer has to live with their action for the rest of their life. I wonder how many are sociopaths and could careless they killed someone and will live their life with no guilt. Make you wonder since he didn’t care enough to not to drive and killed a person.
