Any time in Baja is an awesome time without a doubt. As long as you are a MINIMUM of 250km away from the border… and it’s not July. That is, unless you enjoy being on the surface of the sun.

Baja is puto-licious!
Remember, while you are in baja you can fuck a man in the ass and you are not gay. You are only gay if you receive the sausage.
Anyway I hear that taking one up the shoot can screw up a good day of riding.
Have fun with the federales, tainted water and latent homosexuality. I will have to pass.
BTW cabo wabo tequila sucks (sorry sammy)

People should know that baja has become a bit more dangerous in the past year. A few surfer camps in central Baja have seen a shocking trend of military style hold ups with armed men rolling up in the middle of the night, holding 20 or so mostly american people at gunpoint as the yloot all tents and vehicles.
It’s quite alarming and has to do with a combination of out of work drug traffickers and Federales who aren’t getting kickbacks (a drug kingpin was recently busted). So these two groups have been working over the local tourist population for whatever they can get.
Scary, these are people you just don’t fuck with. And you can’t really go to a Mexican cop for help.
Do your own research on this, the interwebs and surfer’s interwebs in particular are full of stories like this.

Not to assume, but most “american” rolling down there put little effort into homogenizing with the local culture so when a group gets pimp’d on the beach, maybe it’s the Hummer that blows their cover?
