The best
The best poem
I’ve ever written
disappears
from my sight
and into the morning
as I rub my eyes
and turn off the alarm clock.

…saw a guy out on my ride today,
as he was pedaling out to play…
…he was all decked out in old school kit’
‘la vie claire’ all the way…
…but i knew it wasn’t greg though,
of that i can surely say…
…there was no one in a suit
with a briefcase, following, on this day…

…but i stand by my intent…
…pure unfettered yet deserved insult…

Gone, like beautiful morning wood
Consumed in the fire
of your shrieking wife’s voice
“get your ass out of bed and get to work”
