   It’s clean, but it’s got stickers. Show me the after shot when the wheels no longer stay perfectly true and there are hundreds of little nicks in the paint from rubbing against poles while being locked outside of a bar.

   A sparkly clean utility bike is the sign of a sick mind.

   Isn’t it supposed to have a top tube protector? I thought they came standard with flipped and chopped bars.

   good god man, the fixed fashion police will crush you for the non-drive side photo. drive side snaps only they will cry. and brother mike, please keep up - top tube pads replaced the white pleather belt last year, but this year it’s all about fixed-gear specific jeans. I think r&r is about to come out with a state-of-the-art 455$ pair…

   After nearly 10 years, it does have a few nicks and even a ding or two. I swapped out my Syntace bars for a flipped and chopped model for mirror-clearance; even with the bike lanes, sometimes you gotta get in between a car and a fat place. Drivers are assholes all over. And yes, I run a brake. I have a gimpy knee and only need it in emergency situations. I might look hard, but I like having my front teeth.

   That said, I laced those wheels myself, and only have my other original pair as winter/ grimey wheels, but they are near-perfect as well. My bad about the drive-side pic, but I was going for the DC top tube sticker.

   I haven’t had a Members’ Only since living in NRH, TX. Thanks for the nightmares.

    Is that one of those gay cards in the spokes? Put some proper bars on it too, the chopped crap only goes with the homos that put top tube pads on their shit.

    that is the exact same frame as a KHS flite 100, and a mercier or however it is spelled. That kind of bums me out coming from Surly. I like alot of their bikes they build. There is a baddass “Long Haul Trucker” out here at Bannings Bikes that I am thinking about getting my hands on to do a trek across the northern part of the states.

    Wowee. Apparently people do read plenty of bs nyc, don’t they?

    Please people, no need to rip on the handlebars or whatever. And how about some originality if you must?

    Bike punk is not some new cyclist using his fixed gear stricly as an accessory. It’s his bike and he’s proud of it. How ’bout some community here, even though I don’t know any of you.

    I’m done being all serious now.
