Eagles – Giants

This is the first round of the NFC playoffs. This is huge.

We’ve got the double bad mojo of Billy Penn’s curse and Sports Illustrated. What the hell did we ever do to Sports Illustrated?

This is go time. Billy Penn will now grace one of Flagstaffs premier football viewing establishments, Brinky’s famed Garage Mahal.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. And if you’ve ever watched an Eagles playoff game with Brinky, you know desperate.

Since we’ve been unable to locate, beg, borrow or steal a statue of Billy Penn, we’re going with another photo. Don’t knock it till you try it.

And they way things are going, I’d like it if you tried it.

Start with a nice framed photo of Brinky’s kids. Aren’t they cute? Too bad Daddy needs a frame for Billy.

Now it’s a framed picture of Billy Penn. This is all about sacrifice, folks. Sometimes you just gotta take one for the team.

Move him around till I can confirm an eastward orientation of the Fat Man. Astute readers may note this photo does not show an eastward orientation. The photo was taken for convenience, Billy was indeed pointing the right direction come game time.

Yeah, we’re in Arizona and we’re drinking Yuengling. 100% class up in here. Bring on the Giants!Since I’m writing this on Tuesday and the game is already over, we all know how it worked out.It worked out wonderfully. The power of Billy Penn’s likeness at 7,000 feet above sea level is awesome indeed. Not only had he lifted the veil of despair his shadow has cast upon Philadelphia, he had crushed the infamous Curse of the Sports Illustrated Cover Shot. And he smote the twin curses did he, one being his own, but no matter. He smote it anyway. For he smoteth when he pleaseth.

Bring on New Orleans!

The man, the legend. The guy who started it all back in the Year of Our Lord Beer, 2000, with a couple of pages worth of idiotic ranting hardcoded on some random porn site that would host anything you uploaded, a book called HTML for Dummies (which was completely appropriate), a bad attitude (which hasn’t much changed), and a Dell desktop running Win95 with 64 mgs of ram and a six gig hard drive. Those were the days. Then he went to law school. Go figure. Flagstaff, Arizona, USA
