Bikes as Transportation

Get the fuck out? Bikes As Transportation?
From: Cutter
Subject: Bikes as Transportation
Check it out, “could profoundly change the bicycle commuter experience“
Yep. I remember bike lockers in Tempe too. But to think of it in a holistic sense, advocacy of cycling as a viable alternative urban transportation form just seems to be so far off the plate, [...]

Biker down

Let’s start at the beginning: There was an accident during El Tour de Tucson this year.

Ride for the Trees

I had conversations long ago, in the NAU cycling days with Sam. He’s a good kid and likes to ride just like the rest of us. A cyclist shall we say?
One day, he discovered a way to stay on the bike for months, and make it an effort towards a better world with trees and [...]

FOTP 2008

I made it back up the hill this morning after hanging with local friends in Kleenix just yesterday at the FOTP. In a word, the day was moist. The unusual November monsoon from the night previous, that brought hail the size of marbles to my parents house, provided epicness for the following days ride. With [...]

Gnome’s post sure got a lot of Flagstaff attention lately, especially from people not usually associated with Drunkcyclist. It was clear from the moment i read it that it was going to get some panties in bunches, because he went right at a few topics all at once. and he didn’t flinch, blanch, or mince [...]

Coconino MTB Forest Closures

The FBO has a very diplomatic report regarding the local USFS closing some pre-existing trails under an umbrella known as the “Fort Valley Restoration Project.” The closure was labeled as “an effort to protect” the Mexican Spotted Gray Owl (TMSGO). A bird that seems to have survived until now without the “desperately needed crutch of [...]

Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure

My man Chris is on a cross county ride that started on the 16th. Check the route – it’s the real deal. And it benifits the Fuller Center, a group I have never heard of before this ride. And I guess maybe that’s the point of this exercise – to raise awarness. [...]
