The section from Silverton to Durango holds a special place in my heart. Nearly 2 decades ago, it introduced this punk kid from New York to what REAL mountains were. I took a little point and shoot 35mm film camera on the ride with me and recently I revisited the photos. I didn’t care much for them when I first got back so I just put them in a stack with all the other mediocre photos. But looking back at them now, they evoke so many great memories.
