It's done. I will not longer be updating this page.
Porn is dead.
Long live porn.
All the action is now over here: drunkcyclist.com/wordpress.
I'll be pointing all traffic that way tomorrow. It was a good run.
I enjoyed it. But I'm done with these html page. Done. Done. Done.
Sunday night after a weekend of house cleaning, both literally and
figuratively. My brother in law is heading down from Boulder, Colorado
on Tuesday for a sampling of Flagstaff’s Gay Pride celebration. He’s
going to drink me under the table without mercy.
No quarter asked. None given.
He suffers from pet allergies, and I’ve got a crazy ass dog. It’s a
match made in heaven.
And in the figurative sense as I’m working hard towards transitioning
drunkcyclist to a wordpress format. I hope to have this shit nailed
down in the next few day. Have a look at the new site: drunkcyclist.com/wordpress/2007/06/03/happy-sunday.
It's close, damn close.
One day this next week I'm going to point the dns that way and from
then on, it's 100% blogness up in this spot.
And it's about time.
And suddenly, as quickly as it went away, my ability to log in to my
server space on this, my home machine, came back this morning.
As of 11:30 last night it was not good. At 8:00 am, it's just
like it was back on Tuesday of this week.
I'm working a new drunkcyclist using wordpress as the backbone.
After the dreamweaver headaches of this week, I can't wait for the new
shit to drop.
For reasons I don't fully understand, my home machine has been locked
out of the server Drunkcyclist.com resides on for two days. So, no update
yesterday, last night or this morning.
Yo kid, you got me on that one. I have no fucking idea.
But I will tell you this, I am so excited about getting away from this
coding nonsense. I can't even tell you how completely done I am with
this Dreamweaver crapola. Always being tied to the software, the dedicated
machine.
For example: The present debacle. I had to set up a Dreamweaver site
on another machine with a different ISP just so I could log in to the
server and overwrite the existing html files.
I've been working on putting together a new WordPress site so I can
get away from this shit. I want to be able to log in from anywhere,
at any time, on any machine and post whatever the hell I feel like.
Really.
It's going to happen. There are still a few kinks to works out (aren't
there always) before I drop it like it's hot. But by the beginning of
next week I'll be pointing folks at the new site.
I'm going to leave all this old html shit archived on the server. I
can't imagine trying to sort through it, or delete any of it. We're
talking about six years of my life here people.
And a fine life it's been.
