Sunday Cycles Bicycle Drive – SUCCESS!

In just five days, customers donated $5,000 toward the bikes. Sunday Cycles partnered with the Fusion Foundation to give those bikes to children ages 3 to 11 whose parents cannot afford to buy bikes for them. The foundation connects low-income people to activities they don’t have access to.

“It’s the right thing to do,” said Joe Berman, owner of Sunday Cycles, 3317 E. Bell Road. “I have a bike shop and a lot of kids don’t have bikes.”

HUGE props to all who donated, helped build the bikes, and most of all, to Joe Berman and his crew at Sunday Cycles.

  1. P.S. Thanks to the two “DC Fans” who spent 2 full days building bikes for this event. Not sure who you were, but you guys rock. Happy Holidays.

  2. The only thing that would make that pic better is for all the kiddies to be present.

As AfricanSingle said…Good on all of you for making this happen.

  3. You rock it too Judi, hope you and the volunteers are all feeling the well deserved warm and fuzzies. Nice way to start the holiday season and round out the yr. Just think of all those kids if you have a wave of grinch/ scroogeness hit you, enjoy.
