Who here amongst us wouldn’t call Ludo Dierckxsens a baller? I dare you not to. For crying out loud, the man started his pro career, at 30, after being a spray painter. How many pro athletes do you know who turned pro at 30? Not too many, that’s for damn sure. He made other pros cry when he went to front, and started to yank the pace. He made other pros beg him to slow down, only to then sprint him at the finish. He might have been a little naive as to the games being played, and when he was on, dude was on. Belgian national champion, a Tour stage in ’99 (he got popped for doping shortly thereafter for a med that was prescribed to him, but that he didn’t tell his team about). Sure, he didn’t have the best results, but I guaran-damn-tee, he brought the pain to races he rode in, and made others suffer, and for that, he should be installed into the Baller Hall of Fame.

Plus, just look at him. A few words come to mind. Harder than woodpecker lips.

Ludo was a Baller.

  1. No poor bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making other bastards die for their country. Ludo put many into the hurt box for their teams.

  2. Speaking of ballers, there are rumors (sadly being denied at the moment) of Jacky D maybe looking to get back in the saddle as a DS. Now that is some noise just waiting to be brought.
