About big jonny

The man, the legend. The guy who started it all back in the Year of Our Lord Beer, 2000, with a couple of pages worth of idiotic ranting hardcoded on some random porn site that would host anything you uploaded, a book called HTML for Dummies (which was completely appropriate), a bad attitude (which hasn’t much changed), and a Dell desktop running Win95 with 64 mgs of ram and a six gig hard drive. Those were the days. Then he went to law school. Go figure. Flagstaff, Arizona, USA

Auckland firefighters climbed up the stairs in the Sky Tower, in full kit, carrying American flags & the names of fallen firefighters.

I will never forget that day, I had just arrived home after a 3 month contract In Darwin, Austraila.

My wife phoned & said turn on the TV, I could not believe it.

I couldn’t handle it so I went out for a run, every shop that I passed had people crying & looking at a TV.

Bless you all & take care.

  4. …always a doffed cap in respect to the brave men & women who work as firefighters…

…to those who’ve given their lives & those who are willing to risk their lives helping others…

  5. BikePunk,

    A few observations.

    1. My post & your 9/11 post occurred at virtually the same time.
    2. These are New Zealand firefighters dealing with the worst disaster that Christchurch had ever experienced, yet they took time off to honor your fallen.
    3. In Christchurch, there is a park called Fire Fighters Park, There’s a steel girder from the trade towers there & it’s a shrine, that’s where the ceremony took place.
    4. The Auckland fire fighters climbed up Sky tower, 500 steps, in full kit carrying oxygen cylinders & carrying names of your fallen & American flags.
    5. Fuck you too, your ancestors must have crawled into the gene pool when the life guards weren’t looking

  6. …#5…now that’s a good line, hurben…

…& as you know, firefighter/paramedics made my life a little easier this last week…& that’s certainly not the first time…
