Yes, Chicago Cross Cup series…that’s a few teammates up there. I forwarded another picture yesterday I hope gets posted…we are having a fantastic time this fall.
Oh jeez Mikey…if you only knew. October featured 22 days of rain…shittiest weather I can recall in a looooong time.
Brian…I’ve raced with/against a bunch of XXX guys over the years down in Matteson at the crits and at cyclocross races…definately a good group that LOVES the bike. Freakin sweet.
Didn’t go at all this year…I spent all my time on knobbies this summer. I’m usually the guy on the shitty Trek 2300 that has hairy legs and does nothing but pull the A group and sit up at the end ;). Used to race for Pedal Power back in the day and Blue Racing, but always offroad.
I happened to be visiting Boulder this week and took in Sunday’s UCI race. And, yeah, the turnout was great, but my takeaway was, “Why is everyone so well-behaved?” No dollar primes, let alone bacon hand-ups. No insults. No couches, bullhorns or illicit beer. Just lots of cowbell, rung very politely.

Sommer –
Seriously? I try to hit Matteson a couple times a summer, and know several SC Wheelman pretty well. Who do you race for? Do we know each other?
Mike, lots of rain this past month. Yesterday’s race was the muddiest most have ever seen.

Twenty-two days of rain during the span of a single month? That’s just crazy talk.
