Eight the hard way.

I sent my man Dan an email the other day regarding his recent world record attempt. His reply is short and to the point.

From: Dan McGehee
Thank you, Jonny.
That was all I have. The single hardest effort I have ever produced on a bike. I have no excuses for not breaking the record. I know how I can go faster, but I’m not sure that I could ever go any harder than I did on Sat.

…i know you’re disappointed, mr mcgehee but what you just said is an awesome & beautiful thing…

…the essence of a man striving for what he knows he can achieve…

…i’d bet money on you making it next time…

You can always go harder. Unless you tell yourself you cant.

“40″- Good to see you at least managed to avoid the cactus you mentioned. Sounds like you’ve become a true Western mountain bike rider over in Montuky, and would likely grind me into the dust if you came over to Orygun for the Creampuff. Which I will not be racing in 2009.
