When they slow down in the middle, I was really hoping it was over. Are they saying “train” as in wreck? I don’t even think they’re hacking together the same song. You guys can like ‘em, my vote, rock opera.
Fuck Yeah!!! That was the shit! Dave was such a great front man, and that “wall of sound” was awesome when you were there! It would cave in your chest!
Ahhhh, those were the days!!!
They used Unchained to open some shows with too. They were my first real arena concert in ‘84. This video is pre parachute pant jumpsuit for MA. Classic. Never gets old.
I don’t ever remember opening acts at their gigs apart from the festival shows.
Saw them on the Diver Down Tour at some out door gig in socal. Roth was so fucked up he tried to start a riot and I think was booked on some charge for it…It was a lolapaloza type gig in San Bernardino
Huh? It was the shit back in the day, but come on, is this all you can come up with? You should post some old 50s music too. Most of us also loved that B-I-N-G-O song when we were young, any vids of that out there to post?
It’s like 1977 and these guys were coming off the success of their first album when I saw them in Roanoke Va. The door to the coliseum opened and I ran, along with thousands of others to the floor and got about 50 feet from the stage. Show starts and it’s rocking hard; about 5 songs in Diamond Dave gets passed a joint from the front and with it climbs atop a stack of amps, lays down, hits it hard, holds it long and blows the smoke high into the spot light. It soared to the fucking roof then he leapt off the stack and into the next number, outrageous! 3 more songs and he pulled a girl out of the front and sent her back stage. Long live rock!
Aaron: “Huh? It was the shit back in the day, but come on,…” The point is that no one has put out anything since that can touch it. Kind’ve like saying “Eddie Merckx was the shit in the day, but…” But what? If Gnome throws up a Merckx video I’ll check it out. Beats the weak ass shit we’re usually subjected to on Vs. (even with the great commentary). Maybe you’ll like this one better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsimgxD0TVI

Saw ‘em on the 1984 tour. I remember the bass line from Drop Dead Legs about making my head explode. Aww yeah. Good stuff.
Autograph opened. Remember them? God they sucked. Got booed off the stage.
