DZ’s Chaffed Nuts

WTF is with all the recent break-ins? I know two close friends whose shit was pilfered, but this is ridiculous. Dave Z is missing a few things, but I bet they left his nut cream thinking it was more of a sandwich spread.

Damn… More over at VeloSnooze

According to police, the break-in occurred while Zabriskie was in California for the recent Amgen Tour.

Police also issued a partial list of items stolen and asked for help in their recovery, particularly if any turn up in local pawnshops or on eBay.

  1. They stole his MEDAL? What the fuck, is Joe Jackass going to say “I rode in the Giro, yeah – was a tough race. By the way, want to buy a nice watch?”

  2. Fuckin crack heads . They will find them , they will go to prison , and they will need DZ’s nut sack cream to prevent chafing ! Ouch ….

  3. gnome hit it on the head with the first comment.

    desperate times=increase in crime

sucks. B&E’s are gonna go up, but also, the man/woman on the street best stay alert. here in lalawood’s hipster neighborhoods, there’s been a rash of violent assault/mugging/robberies of single men walking alone. night or day, gun to the head, knives drawn, punch ups, 10 or 11 since New Years. reports of cyclists being targeted too are rumored but unsubstantiated.

the secondary suckage of all this is how obvious it is that people don’t look out for each other anymore. that’s a lot of merch – and cars! – walkin’ out of DZ’s crib and his neighbors didn’t notice anything weird?

  4. Hardly crack heads. Somebody knew he wasnt going to be there and broke in. Somebody did this to Plaxico Burress a few years ago here in pittsburgh when they knew he was at the AFC championship game.

  5. Shit Son he got Rinsed OUT!
Tragic, some methheads(utah) in SLC are wearing a Olympic medal with DZnuts engraved.
My quiver of bikes of six bikes would be valued at about 1200 not 50,000. STEEL is REAL and cheap.

  6. 3 little letters, ADT

Someone please tell me Dave Z. was at least smart enough to have a home security system in a place where $150,000 worth of mostly irreplaceable items were kept.

  7. They took the space legs? Don’t think the average burglar would grab those. Imagine coming home to that.
Good point on the scion, take the insurance cash on that one and call it good.

Wonder what was on the computers…

  8. Too bad- DZ is a cool dude and talk about a rider who is clean and still a world class badass. He’s got freakish skills. Good point on the alarm – how do you all that top shelf shit and no alarm – cheap and effective. They had to be there a while to collect that list of goods. Someone was watching that place. Mormons on crack in the SLC – whoda thought.

  9. i live in SLC…this place is a freak show. you get a false sense of security around here for sure…place is tooooo “nice”.

    appreciate-cha-smuch….

  10. Alarm? What about his f’n neighbors that didn’t notice someone was rifling through the house and loading up BOTH vehicles with all his goods and hell, probably had a moving truck to boot in order to haul all those bikes as well?! f’n ridiculous and as for the space legs, meth heads will take anything that can be melted down including the medals, what a shame…
