BGR and Miss B made it back from a 3 week tour in the Grand Canyon. Those damn free birds, doing whatever they please like they think they can n shit.
…Say, that reminds me. 22 days ago, I drove them up to Grandview and dropped them off in a blizzard. I sat in the car and waited for them to get all their shit out because this is what it looked like on that first day. It was fairly hardcore. I knew my place, there in that nice warm car and thought just maybe it might be the last time I’d see them. But then again, it was a BGR deal, and the two of them are tuff like Garro… they knew what they were getting into. After one very appropriate & necessary safety check they were off on a long walk about. Somewhere along the route, Pineapple, Art & Megan met up with them to keep their bullshit skills sharp like a tack. One always needs good bullshit skills.
And after 20 days in the hole, in the the dead of winter, the following is the report:

We got back Saturday night from the canyon. Did the tonto from the far east side to Ruby Canyon around 10 miles from Bass Trail. 20 days in total with one hike out on hermits for a resupply. Great times. Check out the pics.
What’s that, less than 30 words? Nice work. I guess there really isn’t much one can say about walking around in a hole. Sometimes, you just gotta be there, and the pics are top notch. I’m certain they do not explain with any justice, how it actually was. Glad all ya’ll made it out safe. Indeed, living the dream ain’t easy.
UPDATE: this also reminds me that the 2nd annual BGR Hump to Hole will be happening this April, on the 4th I believe. More details on that nugget of fun will come in due time.

…either way (not that there’s anything wrong w/ that), that definitely has all the earmarks of an epic adventure…middle a’ winter, 20 days, one resupply…that’s gotta be so amazingly good for the soul…
…don’t think i’d have the huevos or the wherewithal…like mikey said “bravo !!!“…
