This Segway Faceplant made my day. It reminded me of my own, retarded fat-girl wreck last week, of which I’m still recovering and only when I sneeze, do I cry about it. I watched it about 5 times. I hope you get the same satisfaction out of it. And we can thank Chet, my redneck bro for the forward.

It seems that CNN just picked this up a little late but better than not at all. I’d prefer to have seen the NSG Doc doing a “perp” walk but I’ll settle for his little “grunion” trying to mug the camera. May he get to feel those bracelets on his next visit to the courthouse.

Subject: Hey JohnnyA dear friend of ours here in Hayward, WI was hit by a motorist last week Friday. She was riding on a State highway with a three foot shoulder, wearing a blaze orange jersey. The driver admitted to be travelling 55-60 mph, and claimed to “not have seen her”. On the upside, she had a severe laceration, a few minor lacerations, and some road rash, but nothing broken.
I’ve given thought to recent posts of animosity between cyclists and cars. For me, as I’m sure others have figured out as well, is that while cyclists and motorists “share the road”, cars have a distinct advantage. Cyclists are helpless against negligent motorists, while the damage inflicted in car-bike altercations is orders of magnitude greater upon a cyclist. Jennifer is a 35-year old single mother of a 17- month old boy. She often pulls him in a Burley, but, because of the accident will no longer be towing her son. Her life, as many others, has been profoundly changed by the negligence of another.
Talk about piss on the parade. Car’s don’t give a shit. Kill em all. I guess that’s the deal when the majority rule is packing 2 tons of steel and this time, they proved their might on a 35 year old mother.

…how anyone could justify the even often admitted bad behavior of some cyclists (& here, in neither case were these cyclists doing anything wrong) by intentionally retaliating w/ a machine that weighs close to a ton or more, makes me wonder about the sanity of the general public…
