Saunier dopers wha? Did anyone see the freight train that hit McEwen, Zabel and the rest? I think it was the Columbia-Cavendish Express.  Todays stage, just like yesterday, was a boring defense ride for Lotto, which made for one of the fastest field sprints I’ve seen thus far in this tour.

What happened to McEwen? he said “it was too strong a day” and tomorrow he’s going to do the same; sit-in, follow wheels. Wtf? Is Robbie on the way to the back stage with Zabel? I thought he was a scrapper and didn’t need a lead out. C’mon dude, gimme one win. While Cavendish is getting up in there, and in the last 200m, gapping everyone, all Robbie can do is sit in and watch a clean set of wheels from behind. I’m so bummed.

That makes win number 4 for the young gun from Columbia.

Hincapie’s “Game Play” is obviously work’n for a brother.

Update: Nevermind, McEwen was caught out in the last 300m. I’ll give the Aussie another chance…

Anyone catch the spill of that Gerolsteiner rider? Bike launched damn near 8 ft. in the air and split into two. Watch out for those traffic signs meow

What’s all of this Tour crap doing on a cycling site?

…robbie got a good shot at it today, but only came up as the “best of the rest”…

…young mr cavendish is looking a little weary as he makes his way through france but man, he gets himself up for those final sprints…

…guy’s got amazing “track speed”…for a young guy, he’s developed a real tactical road sense from several kliks out & then he’s superlative inside the 1k banner…

much respect to Hincapie! and the Team, I found this tour to be hella
fast. man insaine the speeds in the last 4k’s? some are bored! even if VS is weak.

people diss’n Hincapie all the time, but he has skillz. ( helps others )

i’d say that zabel’s far from backstage. he may not winning but he’s finishing in the top every sprint. robbie hasn’t even shown up. last i checked zabel was third in points standing and mcewen was barely cracking the top 10. i’ll be surprised if mcewen’s not thinking of retiring right now.
