  1. “Mr. Novitzky’s detractors, mainly the defendants and their lawyers, say he is biased and unfair.”

    I guess that makes me biased and unfair as well ’cause I hate the shit out of those cheating bastards too. Fuck Barry Bonds’ horse and that pumpkin headed cocksucker that rode in on it too.

  2. Nah… them cyclists are all euro-fags. No one cares about cycling in the US of A™. Its all Baseball, Football, Chevy trucks and apple pie.

    I did find this interesting…

    “Mr. Novitzky declined to be interviewed for this article or to respond specifically to assertions of his misconduct by Mr. Rains. He asked that his photograph not be published, explaining in an e-mail message, “The possibility of greatly diminishing my ability to investigate this case and others arises any time my picture and name are publicized.”

    Well well… Right there at the top of the article… His pic with Barry Bonds. Makes you wonder who had the last word on respecting a Federal Investigator’s wishes.

  3. Sure Barry Bonds is a dick but let us also ponder the dickheads who have such a hardon for him. Bonds has provided a nice distraction for the administration, which kind of shows that Dubya was miscast as the president when he should have been the baseball commisioner.

  4. More DEA War On Drugs bullshit.

    You know, b/c it’s the taxpayer’s responsibility to police professional sports now too.

  5. …barry bonds salary for 2006 w/out even considering incentive clauses…
    === $ 22,000,000

    …marion jones annual salary on a 5 year contract w/ time/ warner…
    === $ 10,250,000

    …my own wannabe athletic career w/ my 6′ 6″ height but my bad knees…
    === prize-less

  6. Why the fuck is an IRS agent investigating Barry Bonds for doping? Doping isn’t money laundering, hiding funds or financially related. Last I checked the IRS was incharge of Revenue. Seems like a fucking gov’t hack overstepping his bounds if you ask me.

    Glad to see the wannabee doing the job of other agencies. I hate Bonds but I hate overzelous gov’t even more.

  7. “Professional athletics” seems such an oxymoron. This article and the one about Cynthia Fitzgerald the “Whistle Blower” are why i read the NYT’s but I have to fight the being overwhelmed by cynicism.

    Secure in my professional life, I get to ride bikes for recreation only, no need for economic gain from pedaling a bicycle.

    I tell my dad and some of my colleagues “I sure am glad I wasn’t any better at racing a bicycle” the quarter mile (400 meter), throwing a football, ect. I didn’t have to make the choice when I was further down the road, so to speak, to cheat to compete for a livelihood.

    I was speaking with a minor league baseball drop-out the the other day. He was a pitcher, starter, then moved to the reliever rotation, he said with no rest and no “recovery juice” no game, and that the testing at that level was a joke, Felt sorry for the guy.

    Now he’s pushing orthopedic supplies and wishing he “gave up the game” sooner.

  8. …oh, those bad knees & how they ruined the real aspirations of an athlete turned agent, now making a name for himself…

    …”you don’t understand…i coulda had class…i coulda been a contender…i coulda been somebody instead of a bum, which is what i am, let’s face it…”
